armchair anarchist

The term armchair anarchist is used (usually in a derogatory sense) to describe someone who identifies as an anarchist but who takes little or no action to fight for social change. Use of the term in certain contexts can be considered lifestylist or even elitist in that it implies that only those living on the fringes of society can consider themselves "real" anarchists.
