I knew Guy Strait personally over many years. Painting him as some sort of gay liberator is misguided. He was a coarse, crude, a I want what I want when I want it, type. He was selfish, thoughtless, arrogant and manipulative. There is no excuse for why I maintained any relationship with him, other than he was a friend of a friend
