Talk:Buddhist Anarchism

From Anarchopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

This is a well researched and thoughtful entry, but it fails to mention that all these attempts at drawing this connection are by an extreme minority within North American, and specifically U.S. Buddhism. Little or no evidence is given of these interpretations having any historical connections to Buddhism in Asia. For a wonderful and entertaining example look into the works of Alan Watts. Much of his work contains libertarian, anti-authoritarian, and anti-war themes. However, I think Alan Watts would refuse to ever be identified as an anarchist.
