Autodidactism means 'teaching oneself', as opposed to being taught by another person(s). Autodidactism usually means getting one's knowledge from non-interactive written sources, such as books, magazines, or internet references.

Autodidactism is a far more efficient than the so-called 'school' system of the status quo. One purpose of the long 'school' hours and homework is to impair learning by depriving minors of the time to learn independently. Autodidactism can be used not only for it's own sake, but also to undermine the dominance of so-called 'teachers'.
