separation of church and school is the idea that educational concerns, interests and processes should be separated from those of religious institutions.
This idea is most popular among those who want the secularization or desectarianization of a school or secondary education institution. It is also popular among those who advocate against the forcing the teaching of creationism and intelligent design in public schools and collegiate institutions.
