separation of business and school is a legal and education term that refers to the proposed separation of business/corporate concerns and interests from those of educational institutions.

The movement for such separation is most visible in Western countries, especially France; the bulk of support for such a separation comes from students' unions, even though a minority is primarily opposed to commercial advertising in educational/campus media. Most of the opposition is directed against privatization of state-owned/tax-funded educational institutions, as well as against corporate ownership of educational institutions and services.
