Plotino Constantino Rhodakanaty was a Greek tailor and socialist who migrated to Mexico in 1861. In the same year as he arrived in Mexico, he wrote Cartilla Socialista and began propagating the ideas of Charles Fourier. Around Rhodakanaty a circle of followers emerged, which later would form a nucleus in the early Mexican labour and peasant movements.[1]
