Bikers Without Borders (BWOB) is a non profit organization that was created to research volunteer opportunities in Latin America. In 2003 two motorcycle enthusiasts Steve Wallstrom and James Mallory rode their Kawasaki KLR 650 dual-sport motorcycles through 13 different countries over the course of seven months volunteering and researching organizations in need of volunteers. Most of their time was dedicated to seeking opportunities in hospitals, Christian missions, dental clinics and orphanages.
BWOB received sponsorship from a variety of corporations including Kawasaki, Iridium Satellite Phones, Dual Star, Joe Rocket and First Gear.
