Charles Angrand (1854-1926) French Impressionist, Pointillist painter & anarchist illustrator. Born April 19, 1854, in Normandy. Died April 1, 1926.
In 1884, Angrand joined the Society of Independent Artists in Paris, & was close with the other libertarian painters like Seurat, Cross, Luce & Signac.
Angrand contributed illustrations to Jean Grave's "Les temps nouveaux" (begun in 1895), as well as helping with financing, by offering his works in lotteries of the time.
