General advices
- Try to stay healthy and physically fit. Avoid substance abuse.
- If possible, avoid areas with concentration of police force.
- Even if you dislike society as it is, try to maintain a large circle of similar-minded friends and acquaintances
- Learn martial arts for self-defence
- especially conditioning exercises for tendons and bones will lessen the consequences of possible aggressions
Interacting with officers...
- Try not to be alone or in enclosed places.
- Use concealed audio or video recording if possible.
- Make phone calls or at least pretend that you have been recently in contact with someone.
- Try to appear friendly and at least pretend to respect the officers.
In case of verbal violence
- Verbal abuse is often used to escalate a conflict; refuse to play "their game", remain rational
In case of physical aggression...
- You should quickly choose your defence strategy depending on circumstances:
- playing dead: this is a natural defence system; you pretend to be helpless, unconscious or dead; however try to stay ready to flee at the first opportunity
- screaming: this is also a natural defence strategy but often not a good idea, it may elicit more violence
- attacking back: an extreme resort
- (add your own ideas please)
After an aggression...
- report your experience, in any appropriate way you can find (your blog, journalist friend, local newspaper)
- you may develop post-traumatic stress disorder; remember that there are always comrades out there willing to aid you and with which you can share your experience: this is quite possibly the best therapy
During demonstrations or public gatherings...
- Always consider whether you should join a demonstration (pro and cons), try to balance personal risks and social benefits.
- During a pacific or pacifist gathering, quickly isolate and dissociate from violent groups. Such groups often have infiltrators.
- Always keep a safe emergency-escape path. Do not station in shady areas, dead street ends, or bridges.
- Bring first-aid kits.
- Photos and videos are useful, document what is happening.

Final advice
Stop supporting the State. Someday the State and its violence may cease to exist.
