Deathproj is a film created by Kurt Welshinger and Bryce Beverlin II. Begun in December of 2001 as "another casualty was the morale of howard rapach," a 30 minute short film, deathproj quickly blossomed into a much larger work. Today the film contains three major sections, each containing several movements. Each movement is intended to be able to stand on it's own as a short film or to be exhibited in the larger work. The two film makers have been making steady pace progress and are on track to finish the work by August 2006.
Film Synopsis
Deathproj is a work in progress that employs experimental film and video processes to construct a story of demise, departure and disillusion. the fantastical core story of larotza is woven and sculpted, branded and sanded, crafted with both real and scripted events. those involved pass between dimensional and physical barriers, in order to reach their own final days, respectively. the process of creating the deathproj is also central to it's aesthetic as a progressive work.
