Alphonse Barbé (born 1885 December 17) was a French anarchist and anti‑militarist. Barbe met Sébastien Faure who introduced him to anarchism.
Barbe was briefly involved the Communist Party for short periods before 1934 when he began running “Le Semeur de Normandie,†a newspaper devoted to cultural ideas and the defence of the conscientious objectors. In 1936 Barbe was actively aiding the Spanish revolutionists and also published “Lu dans la presse libertaire syndicaliste espagnole†(1937—38).
