A regiving group is a local group to which people can refer for disposing goods others may need, and for obtaining goods disposed by other people. The services are provided at little or no cost, according to the regiving philosophy. Regiving networks, usually managed via the internet, exist to interconnect the local groups, enriching the variety of goods available.
Regiving groups are often referred to as freecycling groups. However The Freecycle Network has claimed a trademark over the name freecycle.
