Paternalism is the mindset of those who seek domination over others for their alleged benefits. That mindset results in the belief that oneself knows what another person desires and needs more so than they do, a belief that contradicts the reflexive principle of logic and mathematics (A = A). Paternalism is the mindset of theocrats.
