Paternalism is the mindset that oneself is both dominant over, and one with, others. That mindset results in the insane belief that oneself knows what another person desires and needs more so than they do, a belief that contradicts the reflexive principle of logic and mathematics (A = A). Paternalism is the mindset of theocrats.
