Job is externally imposed set of duties that a person must perform, normally for a wage or other material exchange.
Job and Work[edit]
Unlike work, which is performed because a task needs to be done, jobs might be quite unnecessary for the society. An example is taking care of one's child is work (and a very hard one), but collecting money at the cash register in Wal Mart is job.
