Revolution within revolution is the concept of the renewal within the revolutionary movement. It is linked to the idea of the constant revolution.
An example of a revolution within revolution can be gay rights being brought into the revolutionary civil rights movement of 1960s USA. The original civil rights included only people of different ethnicities and nations of origin, however, the movement was later revolutionised from within itself to accept yet another task. This change was itself a revolutionary change, thus it was a "revolution within revolution".
