Hi, how do I report abuse? Some guy that just calls himself User: has been indefinitely blocking innocent people, and just supplying their names as reason. I want him sorted out before I'm next. How do I proceed in dealing with him? NazismIsntCool 09:18, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi. It's me again. I've unblocked all the people affected by his irresponsible behavior. NazismIsntCool 09:26, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I gave you developer access, so you can use Special:Asksql to clear out this kind of vandalism. Be careful about making SQL writes; you can e-mail me and I'll do it if you can't figure it out. Guanaco 00:18, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

Criticism

The name is an implies that the encyclopedia is an experiment in anarchy, but in some reguards has a stricter hierarchy (albeit a more inefficient one) than Wikipedia itself. It is possible that this is as a result of problems they experianced when operating in a more truly anarchic fasion, but the creators or users of this site may not realize that these problems, and the eventual necessitated changes mean that the experiment, as all experiments with anarchy, was a failure.

I agree that Anarchopedia is not as decentralized as it could be, but comparing its "hierarchy" to that of Wikipedia is completely absurd.

Wikipedia hierarchy chart

  • Jimmy Wales (theoretically unlimited powers over the project)
    • arbitrators
    • Wikimedia
      • developers/stewards/bureaucrats
        • admins (can censor users and/or content)
          • registered users (can "vote" in pools, but admins actually decide what the real "consensus" is)
            • other users
              • trolls and vandals (can be censored on sight, have no free-speech rights)

About policies, or their absence
