Harlan “Slim” Pfeiffer (??-1983?) was the principal photographer of Lyric International, producer of the 1972 feature film The Genesis Children and a number of other short naturist films, as well as up to 90 magazines.

Pfeiffer’s photography had an artistic quality which set Lyric’s products apart from other of the genre.

While he did not film The Genesis Children, he produced still photos during the production. Some of these photographs were issued as part of the press release for the film as "The Genesis Children Portfolio".

Mr. Pfeiffer filmed on Padre Island National Seashore near Corpus Christi on the Texas Gulf Coast; at the pool with the cinderblock walls at the Lyric studio; and possibly in sandpits near the Texas town of Sandy Hill. An on-line vendor of the DVD Boyhood Scrapbook described as "47 minutes of visually appealing ... still photographs taken by Slim Pfeiffer put together with music" offers as a "quote from the maker"

"During the 50's and 60's, I grew up in the south. We had a very special place called Sandy Hill. It was our Mississippi river, our Hannibal Missouri. We were Tom and Huck, and the whole world was our playground..." [1]

"Pfeiffer" may have been a professional name. Pfeiffer filmed at the pool with the cinderblock walls in Los Angeles after The Genesis Children was filmed in 1971 or 1972. But there was no Pfeiffer among the fourteen men arrested in the scandal that ended Lyric in the fall 1973. The Los Angeles Times did list "W.J., 55, a Houston photographer" among those arrested. [Los Angeles Times Oct 27, 1973, p. B1] Either that’s not Pfeiffer, or the quote above isn’t his, as if he were 55 in 1973 he would have already been 32 at the start of the 1950s.
