Currently not every member in Anarchopedia collective can create Clusty Clouds. The reason for that is security of the web server and the users of Anarchopedia (see Security concerns section). All members can insert already existing clouds via HTMLets plugin: <htmlet>clustycloud-name</htmlet>

Currently available clouds

  • anarchopedia — clusters "Anarchopedia" — insert it with <htmlet>clustycloud-anarchopedia</htmlet>
  • host_eng_anarchopedia — generates an internal clustering of English-language Anarchopedia as is seen by search engines — insert it with <htmlet>clustycloud-host_eng_anarchopedia</htmlet>

How to request other clouds

Please do not request a cloud for every single topic mentioned on Anarchopedia, it is simply not worth it. If you believe that the particular cloud will benefit Anarchopedia please add your request to the Requests section mentioning the full search string that needs to be used, where you intend to use this cloud, and why you think it will be beneficial.

Requests

For administrators

To add a cloud you need to go to extensions/HTMLets/htmlets directory and copy clustycloud-TEMPLATE to a file with the name of intended HTMLet with the html extension, then edit that file and replace the QUERY in the JavaScript source with the intended query.

Security concerns

The first concern is that a person within the Anarchopedia collective will edit the existing HTMLet injecting into it some harmful JavaScript.

The second concern is that Clusty Clouds are always requested from Clusty search engine, thus allowing Clusty to monitor the IP addresses of all people who view the pages with the Clusty Clouds on them. Even though Clusty in its privacy statement makes a claim of no tracking, it is still a bad idea to insert Clusty Clouds in the pages which are likely to arouse suspicion from LEA.
