Many have contacted us wondering why the ¤%&#¤% there is a “dollar sign” in the symbols section. The truth is that it isn't a dollar sign, even though it may - at first sight - look like one. The symbol is used by quite a few anarchists of certain beliefs, which is why we have included it in our discussion on anarchist symbolism (and we're working on more symbols). We explain everything about this symbol, the Libertatis Æquilibritas, here.

Anarchism.net is an Anarchist website founded by Per Bylund for Anarchists of all schools. Anarchism.net is intended to provide a network for Anarchists to submit information, discuss issues and further Anarchism. Content on the site faces slow growth as there is only Per is the only team member. Aside from this, the forum requires no registration, has no admins or moderators and welcomes all Anarchists.

About

Adopted from the page: Anarchism.net: About Us

What is it about all these “about us” stories on Internet sites all over the world? People put a lot of energy and effort into telling people who they are and why they are “on the net.” And why you should be real happy they have put time and money into making the site--for you.

We don’t think you are very interested in who we are and what we do. If you are, then send us an e-mail or visit our personal sites. Instead, we have put the reasons why we have this site in another section--our Mission Statement. That should be much more interesting for you.
You might also be interested in our symbols, perhaps the “new anarchist symbol” on the symbols page on this web site.
Well, there is still a marginal chance you are really interested in who we are, and really would like to get in touch with us. In that case, send an e-mail to info[at]anarchism.net and we’ll get back to you. Thanks for dropping by!

Yours for liberty,

Per Bylund founder
