Khalid Armand

Khalid Armand is a fictional character from the Rainy Streets chronicles. He is in all three of the books, although not as much in Wishing For The Nightmare as the others.

Born in Jericho, a 10,000-year-old city, Khalid was the son of a poor man and woman. His father’s name was Khelek Armand, a red haired man with silver eyes. His mother was called Salena, a woman with short blonde hair and blue eyes. Several years after his birth, when he was 5 years old, his mother gave birth to a girl. Her name was Blaire Armand, a pretty girl with auburn hair and greenish-silver eyes.

Blaire fell in love with a man who was known to keep several dozen women and tell twice as many lies, and although Khalid could not openly protect her much without losing her loyalty, he still watched them and did what he could to keep them apart. When Blaire was sixteen she was found murdered in an alley, the blood entirely drained from her body. Khalid prayed to one of his goddesses, Hecate, to give him the power to take revenge on the obvious murderer. She made him from human into the original Wolfwere, one of the first.

Moving away from Jericho after his parent’s death and his revenge on the young man, Khalid escaped to Egypt. Time is different to Wolfweres, and what he though to be only a few days to him was revealed to be several decades in reality.

Centuries past, and some were peaceful for Khalid, while others were hectic and filled with war and blood. It is known that he fought in the Battle of Issus with Alexander the Great, but then he disappeared from the war scene until World War I and War World II, where he once again joined the fight.

In 2005 Khalid met a young woman with crimson hair and emerald eyes. He liked the girl a lot, whose name was Kitty Kulap, and became “entranced” by her.

He left to Egypt and then China with his sister and Kitty after re-meeting the sibling. Then he moved on to Russia, and then back to China when Noria Sezi declared war on Dosellus Satari, a mad man.

Dosellus won the war and destroy all countries besides Jericho, China and Russia. There was nothing out there but land, then, and he gave a great portion of what had been Egypt to Khalid and Kitty, even though they had fought against him. Noria Sezi, who had been pregnant, gave birth during the middle of the second-to-last battle.

She never named the boy child, the girl having been given the name Alexiel, before she and her trusted companion, Rosiel AlÄ—s, went out to fight in the battle. There is where she died, saying before her death to Rosiel that Khalid was to have her children.

Khalid accepted and adopted the twins and, as Noria had once said she wanted, named the girl Alexiel. The boy was named Yuki. Template:spoilerend

Personality

Khalid is very odd, sometimes making perfect sense at all the right times and making no sense at most of the other times. He is very hard to anger, but sometimes loses his cool, if only for a second. He flirts often with anyone he finds interesting, and being bisexual, as no problem with either gender. He has great perception skills, although it is not to be confused with reading minds.

Because of his perception skills it seems like he knows things others do not, when in fact while pretending to know it he learns what it is. He is unpredictable at best and has no guilty side.

Appearance

Khalid has maroon hair and silver-green eyes. He stands to six foot six inches tall and weighs about one hundred and ninety seven pounds. He is only a bit muscular, having usually found better things to do than work out. His skin is ivory, with an almost African like nose and full lips. His eyes are slightly slanted from becoming Asian, and inch long fangs can be bared if needed. Wolfwere fangs in Rainy Streets consists of two half inch fangs on either side of a full inch fang, on the top row of teeth, the inch long fang being what the human canine tooth is.

Family

Khalid's mother and father were Khelek and Adalbjörg Armand. His younger sister is Blaire Armand, and although not legally, he is handfasted(Pagan marriage) to Kitty Kulap. He adopts Noria Sezi's twins, Yuki Armand and Alexiel Armand, although before the girl is even a year old in the series Rosiel takes Alexiel as heir when she ages.
