Pirate Party refers to a number of political parties established worldwide, most notably and primarily in Sweden, since 2006. Most of these parties stand on a platform for information freedom and privacy.

A former member of the Swedish Pirate Party's board is currently a legal advisor to The Pirate Bay, a BitTorrent tracker; the Pirate Bay is also historically linked to Piratbyrån, a Swedish piracy and anti-copyright think-tank. However, Piratbyrån and the Pirate Party are not linked directly with each other, and the efforts of TPB are no longer associated with the Pirate Party.
