The characteristic of any modern state is that it claims to have the exclusive right to use or to legitimate physical violence. In the most states the police is the executive body, which has the legitimation by the state to use physical violence against the citizens on the territory of this state. States select the main duties of the police, these duties are to enforce the law and to ensure public and social order through the legitimized use of violence. But in the meantime, while the police are inherently non-democratic, it appears that the number of cases where police itself becomes a danger for the public and social order increases. This project shall give the victims of police violence names and so remember them. It shall also be a chronicle for all those outrageous “isolated cases” to show to what such an exclusive power to use physical violence leads to.
A childlover is defined by the childlove movement as a non-sadistic pedophile or ephebophile, though the term may also encompass people who are not primarily attracted to children, or those whose attraction to children is only romantic. The terms girllover and boylover are used to specifically indicate a childlover's sexual orientation.

Warning: this article may represent a point of view sympathetic to the movement, not necessarily a neutral or consensual one.

Distinction with "pedophile"
Unlike the term pedophile, childlover (as well as boylover and girllover) is a self-identification term. Some people use that to distinguish themselves from those who would abuse children, while others by it identify as members of a childlove movement.

Also while pedophiles are normally grouped four categories: homosexual male and female, and heterosexual male and female; childlovers identify themselves by the gender of their objects of attraction, thus homosexual males and heterosexual females are both "boylovers", while heterosexual males and homosexual females are "girllovers".

Terms
Girl moment
Girl moment, or "GM" for short, is a term used by some childlovers to define any sort of interaction between an adult (who has a sexual orientation favouring female children) and one or more female children. The interactions are not necessarily illegal (although the definition of "girl moment" as used, could be reasonably applied to the commission of illegal activities), and can involve anything from merely an encounter at a bus stop, to a good deed (helping a lost child find her parents, etc), a birthday party, babysitting occasion, and others.

The contents of a girl moment usually focuses on non-sexually describing the events that went on in the day, and is applicable more as a descriptive narrative of an occasion, which someone who has a sexual orientation favouring female children could read and enjoy. Such moments are rarely sexually explicit, and their purpose is not (generally) to arouse the sexual appetites of its readers.

Giuseppe “Pino” Pinelli (born 1928 October 21, killed 1969 December 15) was an Italian anarchism|anarchist railway worker “accidentally” defenestrated from the 4th floor of police station in Milan where he had been held following the attack of “Piazza Fontana” against the Bank of Agriculture of 1969 December 12.

Pinelli, secretary of the Anarchist Black Cross, was tossed through a window to his death by police, which became a national scandal.

Pietro Valpreda and others were also arrested, following the anti‐anarchist hysteria orchestrated by the government and press, accused of the bombing in Milan. Only much later is it revealed that the bombing was the work of Right Wing|right-wing fascism|fascists, in collusion with government reactionaries.

Pinelliʼs police murder was the subject of Nobel Prize‐winner Dario Foʼs play, Accidental Death of an Anarchist (play), filmed by Pasolini.

Personal life
He was born in Milan on 21 October 1928 to Alfredo Pinelli and Rosa Malacarne. The early part of his life was spent in his native Porta Ticinese district of the city. After completing elementary school he had to start work, initially as a waiter and later as a warehouseman. He carried on reading: this was a lifelong habit of his.

In 1944 when he was 16 he took part in the antifascist resistance as a runner for the "Franco" Brigade, working with a group of anarchist partisans who were his first encounter with libertarian thought. In 1954 he joined the railways as a laborer. In 1955 he married Licia Rognoni whom he met at an evening Esperanto class; they soon had two daughters, Silvia and Claudia.

In the early 1960s an anarchist youth group was formed in Milan (the Gioventu Libertaria) with a little over twenty members who included Amedeo Bertoli who in 1962 made headlines as a member of a group that kidnapped the Spanish vice-consul in Milan in order to press for (and achieve) the commutation into a prison term of the death sentence that had been passed on an anarchist in Francoist Spain. Pinelli – just 'Pino' to his friends and colleagues – at 35 was the oldest of the group, but that was not a problem: his cheerful, outgoing personality made him "good company". And when in 1965, after ten years without a local, one was opened in the Via Murillo, Pino was among the founders of the "Sacco and Vanzetti Circle".

On those premises there was a get-together of young anarchists from all over Europe in 1965. After eviction, Milan's anarchists moved premises and on 1 May 1968 the "Ponte della Ghisolfa" Anarchist Club in the Piazzale Lugano on the outskirts of the La Bovisa working class district was opened. It was called after the former viaduct, the pillars of which can be seen from the Porta Garibaldi railway station where Pinelli worked.

In 1968 the winds of challenge blowing from France reached Milan. Pinelli was active on many fronts: as an anarchist, he was one of those who kept the club open, organising an efficient book-service and he was one of the organisers of a busy series of evening lectures. Capitalising upon his free rail travel privileges (as a railway employee), he kept in direct contact with "outside" comrades, among them Luciano Farinelli in Ancona, Aurelio Chessa in Pistoia and Umberto Marzocchi in Savona. He was also in frequent contact with Alfonso Failla in Marina di Carrara, also holidaying there with his family.

As a worker Pinelli was also involved in trade union affairs, especially helping to refloat the USI, a branch of which opened on the club premises. And the Milan Transport Authority's CUB (rank and file committee) chose the club as its own base, leaving only in the wake of the bombing on 12 December 1969: that move was prompted by the crackdown on anarchists. Anarchist circles in Milan were all excitement, with libertarian groups emerging in lots of high schools and in the factories there were anarchist workers and frequent early morning leafletting campaigns. Books, pamphlets were produced and some of the older newspapers underwent a revival. Milan's anarchists felt the need to open a second clubhouse, this time in the southern part of the city. Among those most committed to the preparation and opening of the Via Scaldasole Club (in the Ticinese district) was Pinelli.

On 25 April 1969 two bombings struck at the Central Station and the Show Grounds. Inquiries were directed towards libertarian circles and a number of anarchists were arrested: this was the start of a campaign of criminalisation that received a further boost in August when some train bombings were also credited to anarchists. There was also a rumour around to the effect that Pinelli, the anarchist railway worker, might be implicated. Pinelli and his "Bandiera Nera" (Black Flag) group bridled at this and took exception and denounced this black propaganda, launching – after the model of the British "Black Cross" at around the same time and the Russian Black Cross from the 1920s – the Anarchist Black Cross, specifically committed to concrete solidarity with arrested comrades, but also to publication of a counter-information bulletin.

Pinelli was the highest profile anarchist in Milan and was regularly summoned to police HQ over applications for licences, meetings, etc. The person he dealt with more often than not was a young police inspector, approachable in his manner, elegant and friendly: Luigi Calabresi. So when, on the afternoon of 12 December 1969, right after the Piazza Fontana bomb outrage, Calabresi arrived at the Via Scaldasole Club and asked Pinelli to come to the station, Pinelli readily agreed, climbed on to his motor bike and followed the policeman's car.

At headquarters, Pinelli found many of Milan's anarchists in one large room. They like him had been brought in for questioning about their alibis. Within 48 hours, the maximum "police custody" allowed under the laws at the time, those arrested had been released and a few had been transferred to San Vittore prison.

Pinelli was detained at headquarters longer than the law allowed for. He was interrogated. Then, at around midnight on 15-16 December his body "flew" from a room belonging to the Political Bureau on the fourth floor and hit the ground. The initial conflicting versions of the police story suggested that the truth could not have been the official story of a "suicide".

Pinelli died in Milan at the Fatebenefratelli Hospital on the night of 15-16 December 1969.
I really think that the proper spelling should be dominant. Once again, etymologically it is dominant, as well as with the respect to the number of regions which say it like that.

:I see that now paedophilia is spelled correctly by using only pure Latin ENGLISH/US letters. Weird stuff like Æ, Œ, Þ, Ð, etc... are used in Nordic/Viking alphabets, but not in modern ordinary English alphabet. At least someone corrected this. == Reason why i've reverted ==
User:Feighnt has posted a rant, which while not anti-anarchist in any way, has nothing to do with the article. May i suggest some sort of blog to express his (i assume it's a male, since i rarely see females do this) opinions. &nbsp;~&nbsp;User:Beta_M (VolodyA!&nbsp;V&nbsp;Anarhist) <span class="plainlinksneverexpand">[ Talk]</span> 2007 December 6 14:07 (UTC)

Neutrality
I really think that articles should be written neutral which is in this article not the case.
<blockquote>
"While pedophiles have made great contributions to past societies, their influence is often ignored or their attraction to children is greatly played down."
</blockquote>
First of all there is never THE pedophile, THE anarchist, and secondly if you made achievements it has nothing to do with you sexual orientation. This is the same like saying a group of humans is better or worse than the others.
<blockquote>
"One of the dearest fantasy held in the paedophile sub-culture is that of the fantasy island - the secluded island community where paedophiles and children roam free, enjoying total sexual freedom. The idea behind this fantasy is the suggestion that away from the oppressive teachings of these organised religions, those who feel a sexual attraction towards the pre-pubescent can indulge their basest desires and, in doing so, also achieve some form of enlightenment..."
</blockquote>
Everyone can think what he wants. And this is good. But it is also clear that pre-pubescent children are not always able to say whether they like something or not or regret later what they did, especially it it affects sexuality. This is why the age of consent exists. Off course some laws about sexuality are sometimes religious motivated, but pre-pubescent children should be protected. If two pre-pubescent decide to have sexual contact it is their decision, but sexuality with elder persons is different.

All in all I think the article should be much more neutral.
--Lin 12:47, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

While I accept that this article is a bit biased, the last thing I would want to see is this resemble the Wikipedia article with its 'all children who have sex with adults are victims' dogma which feeds the capitalist child sex abuse and prison industries, which lines the pockets of therapists, lawyers etc. I believe the issue of whether to have and if so what the age of consent should be should be decided by anarchist communities. After all if there were no culture of stigma, guilt and shame towards such relationships for a child to internalize would they grow up feeling that they are victims? The idea behind this fantasy is the suggestion that away from the oppressive teachings of these organised religions, those who feel a sexual attraction towards the pre-pubescent can indulge their basest desires and, in doing so, also achieve some form of enlightenment..."

I still don't know how paedohiles come to the conclusion that there is only one child who has the same fantasies as they have towards them? Where are the pre-pubescent children who scream for such a sexual freedom like it is written in the quote above? Did you ever met as adult a pre-pubescent who tried to start to have any kind of sexual contact with you? It's the same arrogant behavior adults usually show, if they claim they would know what's the best for children... It's always written from the standpoint of paedophiles (adults!) but never from the standpoint of the pre-pubescent. What they don't recognise is that children's sexuality is different to adult's sexuality. Last but not least I doubt that there could be an equal sexual relationship between adults and pre-pubescents, because pre-pubescents are dependend from adults. Children learn from, are affected by and orientate theirself on adults, this fact would also not change in an anarchist society, it has just natural reasons...

I tend to delete this article, I cannot see the relevance of the topic for an anarchist encyclopedia. But if someone has reasons why the anarchopedia needs an article about paedophelia, rewrite this article, as it is now it's not an anarchistic article but just the standpoint of paedophiles.

Being a casual reader of this encyclopedia I'm not sure I should dive into this discussion, but anyway. I don't understand why an encyclopedia with a political theme should have an article about pedophilia (or similar articles like LS Studio) at all. There are no articles about poison dart frogs for instance, a very interesting subject but not related to anarchism, politics or social affairs. You can be an advocate of free speech without hosting other peoples unrelated ideas. I'm sure they are perfectly capable of making their own wikis, as a matter of fact they already did. --Spanish Mole 14:11, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Would an article on pedophile activism, especially its largely historical association with anarchism be more appropriate? That is of course if this a matter of relevance and not censorship for 'moral reasons'. In relation to above question, positive (and neutral) testimonies from adults and young people who engaged in sexual relationships with an adult when they were children can be found on the internet, although I would prefer not to give any links on a especially on a public site but can be found through a Google search. There are also a number of academic papers on this subject available online. 87.118.106.144 2:27 , 1 September 2009 (UTC)

It's hard to imagine what is more bizarre here, the fact that an article posted on what is supposedly an anarchist encyclopaedia has no sense whatsoever for the power differentials between child rapists and those they prey on (hint: the child "has sex with" the paedophile oly in the paedophile's mind) or that it's somehow "capitalist propaganda" to suggest that sexual abuse is sexual abuse. First of all, for centuries, the culture took very much the same attitude as the writer of this article (and of its staunchest advocate her): namely, that a man had the absolute right to do whatever he wanted - sexually or otherwise - to the members of his household, including his children. It is only recently that victims of sexual violence, be it rape of an adult woman or of a small child, are not stigmatised as liars when they say what was done to them. The descriptions here remind me above all of the interviews researchers have done with serial rapists - they actually manage to convince themselves that the women they rape (no matter how fiercly they resist) wanted it, enjoyed it, and in fact were asking for it.

Would we accept an article about slavery that talks about how "many Negroes actually enjoyed field work and were disappointed by Emancipation" or about women's rights that claims that women actually prefer to be chattel? Perhaps an article about Shoah denial that doesn't point out that Shoah deniers are complete frauds? One hopes that the problem is obvious here as well. It's hard to see how there's any discussion at all.

Typical, so fucking typical, ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE ZOMFG "THE EVIL PEDOS MURDER LITTLE CHILDREN'S SOULS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE EVIL PEDOS ARE WORSE THAN THE NAZIS B:AH NBLAH BLAH BLAH FUCKING BLAH. IF THEY HAVE SEX A MINUTE BEFORE MIDNIGHT ON THEIR 18th BIRTHDAY THEY WILL BE SCARED FOR LIFE. You blast this propagnada left right and center and even anarchists are eventually going to be be brainwashed by it. You Anti Pedophile crusaders don't care about children all you do is won't to persecute pedophiles. Fine delete it. But no matter what it may seem there are always at least two sides every argument and most people have only heard one.

Paedophilia (or pedophilia, originally Greek παιδοφιλια; paidophilia) is a sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children. While the exact definition varies by context, it commonly refers to the medical definition defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association. The correct term for an attraction to adolescents is ephebophilia.

Those who meet the criteria set above are classed as pedophiles. Common usage do not follow the strict medical definitions of an adult or teen who is attracted to prepubescent children, but often refers to any adult who is attracted to, or has sexual contact with, any person under the age of consent, or the age of majority (often 16-18 in most western countries).

In many societies and cultures, the term pedophile is highly stigmatized and represents an image of an evil, callous monster. This spurs many self-identified pedophiles to adopt names such as boylover, minor-attracted adult, girllover, and childlover, among others, to assist in differentiating themselves and their values from this stereotype.

While pedophiles have made great contributions to past societies, their influence is often ignored or their attraction to children is greatly played down.

One of the dearest fantasy held in the paedophile sub-culture is that of the fantasy island - the secluded island community where paedophiles and children roam free, enjoying total sexual freedom. The idea behind this fantasy is the suggestion that away from the oppressive teachings of these organised religions, those who feel a sexual attraction towards the pre-pubescent can indulge their basest desires and, in doing so, also achieve some form of enlightenment... that the freedom to establish their much maligned and negated altruism will result in some kind of mass overhaul of opinion amongst the general population.

However, that's why it's called a fantasy. Because it'll never happen. The irrational hatred felt towards paedophiles is something that few are prepared to even acknowledge as being irrational, let alone try to combat.
I really think that articles should be written neutral which is in this article not the case.
"While pedophiles have made great contributions to past societies, their influence is often ignored or their attraction to children is greatly played down."
</blockquote>
First of all there is never THE pedophile, THE anarchist, and secondly if you made achievements it has nothing to do with you sexual orientation. This is the same like saying a group of humans is better or worse than the others.
<blockquote>
</blockquote>

But it is also clear that pre-pubescent children are not always able to say whether they like something or not or regret later what they did, especially it it affects sexuality. This is why the age of consent exists. Off course some laws about sexuality are sometimes religious motivated, but pre-pubescent childrens should be protected. If two pre-pubescent decide to have sexual contact it is their decision, but sexuality with elder persons is diffrent.

All in all I think the article should be much more neutral.
